The Creative Industries Festival app is operated by Docklands Creative in partnership with the University of East London. We are the data controller for the personal information you provide through this app. If you have questions about your data, contact us at hello@docklandscreative.uk.
When you create an account we collect your email address, full name, and a password (which is stored only as a one-way hash and never readable by us). On your profile you may also add a display name, photo, an optional gender, an attendee type (Student, Visitor or Staff) and a short bio. As you use the app, we record which sessions you register for or save to your schedule.
Your account lets you sign in, build a personal schedule, and show a digital pass at venue entry. We use your name and attendee type so on-site staff can check you in. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Some sessions link to Eventbrite for ticketing. When you tap Book on Eventbrite, you leave this app and book directly with Eventbrite, who process your ticket details under their own terms. We only store the Eventbrite link — not your ticket or payment information.
We keep your account and schedule for the duration of the festival and a short period afterwards so you can revisit your programme. You can ask us to delete your account at any time and we will remove your personal information.
For your safety, your session signs out automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity. Authentication is handled through our secure backend, and access to your schedule and pass is restricted to your own account.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@docklandscreative.uk.
If we update this notice we will change the date below. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated notice.
